About Montague Collective

Inspired by the South Coast

Montague Collective draws its name from Barunguba Montague Island, rising from the sea just beyond Narooma on the NSW South Coast.

Known traditionally as Barunguba, the island holds deep cultural significance for the Yuin people and remains an enduring presence within the surrounding coastal landscape. Its granite shoreline, open water and changing light helped shape the visual language of Montague Collective.

Our collections take inspiration from the nearby towns and landscapes of Tilba, Kianga and Broulee—places defined by green hills, quiet beaches, weathered stone and the shifting colours of the Australian coast.

Tilba

Inspired by the rolling green countryside, heritage character and handcrafted details of Tilba. The collection reflects a sense of warmth, permanence and considered simplicity.

Kianga

Inspired by Kianga’s open horizons, coastal headlands and uninterrupted views across the Tasman Sea towards Barunguba. Calm, refined and quietly distinctive.

Broulee

Inspired by pale sand, clear water and the relaxed rhythm of the Broulee coastline. A collection shaped by softness, balance and effortless coastal living.

Colours Drawn from the Landscape

Our finishes reflect the natural palette of the South Coast.

Chrome captures the clarity of sunlight moving across the ocean.

Brushed Nickel reflects sea mist, weathered granite and the cooler tones of the shoreline.

Brushed Brass draws from sun-warmed grasses, golden afternoons and the earthy tones found between the coast and hinterland.

Together, these finishes allow each collection to feel connected to its surroundings while remaining timeless within the home.
